I discovered the Feldenkrais Method while recovering from a car accident. I was blown away by how much better I felt from hands-on Feldenkrais sessions to increase my comfort and improve my overall coordination. It helped more than anything else I tried and changed my perception of how pain can be reduced.
Inspired by this remarkable improvement, I trained in the Feldenkrais Method and became a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner in 2007. Having suffered from chronic pain myself for over 30 years, I earned my advanced certification in Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) in 2024.
PRT tools such as Somatic Tracking complement hands-on Feldenkrais sessions, calming the nervous system through verbally guided exercises that break the fear-pain cycle. In both approaches, I help clients feel better through novel movements, exploration with curiosity, and building self-compassion.
I am a Bay Area native who grew up in the San Jose area and I currently live in Belmont. I earned a BA in English and American Literature from Brandeis University.
